Jake DeBrusk has asked to be traded. He feels a change of scenery will do him well. Could the Canucks work on a DeBrusk trade?

Earlier in the summer, NHL trade rumors were floating around that the Boston Bruins were looking to complete a Jake Debrusk trade after the re-signing of Taylor Hall.

DeBrusk was a healthy scratch multiple times last season and just could not get into coach Bruce Cassidy’s good book.

After DeBrusk being a healthy scratch in the Bruins last game, he has asked to be traded.

Jake’s agent confirmed that he asked for a trade over the weekend. His agent went on to say, “a change of scenery moving forward would be beneficial. Debrusk will remain with the team while the Bruins try and facilitate the request.”

The Vancouver Canucks did have interest in a Debrusk trade last season, but nothing could be worked out, maybe something can be done this time as the Canucks are looking to shake things up.
