NHL trade rumors for May 23, 2022 feature the Vancouver Canucks trading J.T. Miller with the New York Rangers showing the most interest.

J.T. Miller’s name floated around at the NHL trade deadline with the New York Rangers showing the most interest in the Vancouver Canucks star forward. NHL rumors now have the Canucks looking to trade Miller this offseason.

Ben Kuzma of The Province reports, Miller has one year left on his Canucks contract and will be due a big payday next year. With Vancouver in salary cap hell, team management may decide what he fetches in trade assets is a better bet than re-signing Miller.

Kuzma went on to say, along with the Rangers having interest in a Miller trade, there are other teams that will also want to know what the asking price is.

Kuzma feels Miller’s asking price has gone up since the trade deadline and if the Rangers are serious about making a trade for Miller this offseason, the asking price for Miller starts with 2020 first overall pick Alexis Lafrenière. His former agent is current Canucks assistant general manager Emilie Castonguay.

  1. Ben, you have no idea what your talking about… for the Canucks… the center piece coming back would be Schneider… the only way Lafaneire comes back… is if NY feels their 1st this year is more valuable than him! I get it… you work for the “woke” The province… but dude you don’t even listen… Rutherford wants back 1)a RHD, 2) sand paper players… the entire deal centers around Schneider for Miller… the question is does NY feel they have a better shot with their young team… with Lundvkist and Miller in the future? Go smoke some more weed then come back at us!
