With Darren Dreger reporting yesterday that the Buffalo Sabres have supplied all medical files on Jack Eichel to interested teams in making a trade.
NHL analyst Mike Johnson was on Toronto’s local radio station TSN 1050 and stated he found it very odd that Buffalo is now only making available Eichel’s medical files to interested teams. If this was done in the summer, he would likely have been traded.
Johnson went on to say if Eichel is traded in the next few weeks and has the neck surgery he wants, he could be ready by March 2022.
The team that has the most interest and the best assets to offer in a trade, the New York Rangers, Eichel would be the missing piece they seek for a playoff run.
