The LA Kings, Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers are interested in making a trade for Anthony Mantha.

The Detroit Red Wings will be looking to trade multiple players at this years NHL trade deadline. But the one player that teams are calling the Detroit Red Wings about are Anthony Mantha.

NHL Rumors were going around earlier in the season about the Red Wings trading Mantha after he was benched in a game. He needs a change of scenery and needs to be playing for a contending team.

The Fourth Period reports the Wings are entertaining offers for Mantha and would trade him for the right package. Mantha would bring in top prospects and a 1st round draft pick for the rebuilding Red Wings.

Mantha, 26, is in the first year of a four-year, $22.8 million contract. He is in the prime of his career and it should not be wasted on playing for a rebuilding team.

Teams interested in acquiring Mantha are the LA Kings, Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers.

  1. Yes. Someone close to hockey in Boston believes DeBrusk is being traded for Mantha now that they have both started to turn the corner. Detroit saves a little salary for a few years and both players get the change of scenery they need longer term.
