What trades will the Winnipeg Jets make this coming season? They should be targeting a backup goalie.

The Winnipeg Jets made a big move last season when they traded Patrik Laine for Pierre-Luc-Dubois. This offseason they traded for defenceman Nate Schmidt and Brenden Dillion.

Tim Campbell of NHL.com reports the Jets need a veteran backup goalie. The Jets appear set to begin the season with Eric Comrie playing behind Connor Hellebuyck.

Campbell went on to say, Comrie will get a chance to establish himself during a second tenure in Winnipeg. But if it doesn’t work out, the Jets may look elsewhere.

The Jets will be looking to make a deep playoff run this year after being knocked out by the Montreal Canadiens last season. If Hellebuyck gets injured can Comrie carry the load for this Stanley Cup contending Jets team?
