Contract negotiations between star forward Trevor Zegras and the Anaheim Ducks have not been going well.
NHL trade rumors suggest that the Ducks may trade their superstar instead of extending his contract. The Buffalo Sabres are a team that is very interested in acquiring Zegras.

Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports the Buffalo Sabres have contacted the Anaheim Ducks about Trevor Zegras.
Lavoie went on to say in his online piece that he can’t believe the Ducks have let contract negotiations with Zegras get to this point.
The mandate for the Sabres this year is to make the playoffs, and bringing in a player like Zegras would help their cause.

With Leo Carlsson and Mason McTavish down the middle, Zegras is now expendable. If I am Anaheim, I am asking for Owen Power or Dylan Cozens in a blockbuster trade.
Zegras is overrated. Sure he can dangle a puck. I don’t blame Anaheim for playing hard ball.
He will not be traded. he will get a bridge deal in the $3-$4 million range.
