Now that the Ottawa Senators have become a top-tier team, salary cap issues may force them to trade a young stud player.
NHL trade rumors suggest that the Ottawa Senators may trade center Shane Pinto and that the Boston Bruins are interested in trading for him.
Will the Ottawa Senators trade Shane Pinto to the Boston Bruins?
Shane Pinto, a restricted free agent, is not eligible for an offer sheet due to not meeting the required number of games played.
There are NHL trade rumors that suggest the Senators haven’t reached a contract extension with Pinto, and he may be traded before the season starts.
The supposed asking price the Senators are asking is NHL-ready prospects.
Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now suggests that the Boston Bruins could potentially make a trade with the Senators to acquire Pinto. The cost to acquire Pinto would be Fabian Lysell and Johnny Beecher.
Share your thoughts on whether the Bruins should trade for Pinto in the comments below.
It appears that the bruins are linked according Jimmy Murphy to just about 75% of the centres in the nhl that guy (Murphy) is the biggest gossip since Rona Barrett.
Do the trade now Bruins better than both of them put together and get a young excellent centre for years to come.
I’d say Shane would definitely make an improvement over Coyle. Could play on first line if Zacha falters. Trade Lysell he has shown very little in the WHL, Europe he was awful and Providence hardly noticeable. Beecher’s even worse do not trade Matthew Potras this guy has got it best second rounder Since Bergy and Krecji. Honourable mention Mason Lohrei watched a lot of NCAA and OHL games very impressed with these two.
Agree with you Rick comment on top.
Would trade both Lysell and Beecher both duds
The senators should petition the NHL for that fraud the leafs perpetrated by putting Murray on LTIR. Buying him out should have been their only option which would have cleared $1.5 m for the Sens.
Would love for the Bruins to make this trade.
But…
He is likely signing a bridge deal, then they will lock him up for 8-years.
They won’t be signing him long term with Ridly Greig in the system. Greig will be the cheaper option for now and has a higher ceiling then Pinto.
Nah, Pinto will be a Senator. Greig doesn’t have the same ceiling
