The San Jose Sharks are looking to trade Evander Kane and they are willing to retain salary to facilitate a trade.

With Evander Kane’s twenty-one game suspension coming to an end on November 30th, the San Jose Sharks have let teams know he is available to be traded.

Elliotte Friedman was on the Jeff Marek radio show on The Fan 590 and stated, “One of the things that I have heard is that the Sharks have let it be known that if somebody is interested, they would retain salary, if a deal could be worked out”.

Friendman went on to say he has no idea which team would trade for him right now? He is not even sure Kane can be traded even with the Sharks offering to retain salary.

Kane does have a modified no-trade clause where he can submit a list of three teams he wants to be traded to but given his situation, that clause will be nullified and he would likely be traded to any team interested in him.

Kane does have four years left on his contract with an AVV of $7 million per year.
