Seattle Kraken forward Nathan Bastian has been claimed off of waivers by the New Jersey Devils.
Bastian was selected by the Kraken from the Devils in the NHL expansion draft this past summer.
Bastian, 23, has one goal and two points in 12 games with the Kraken this season. He had three goals and 10 points in 41 games with the Devils last season.
With the rash of injuries the Devils have had, plus with COVID-19 floating around teams, Bastian provides the Devils a player they can use and are familiar with. It is a good pickup for the Devils just like the waiver wire pickup the Leafs made on Kyle Clifford.
