Darren Dreger is reporting that Pierre-Luc Dubois has indeed made a trade request and it is believed that he would like to be traded sooner rather than later. The question is, can Columbus Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekäläinen make a trade before the NHL season starts?
The Anaheim Ducks and LA Kings have made it known to Columbus that they are interested. They have the assets to trade and land a player like Dubois.
The New York Rangers would be interested to but would Columbus trade with a rival? There has also been NHL trade rumors of the Montreal Canadiens interested in Dubois.
Pierre LeBrun states that the Calgary Flames are interested in Dubois and he feels it would take Sean Monahan going back to Columbus for a trade to happen. LeBrun also lists the Chicago Blackhawks as another team interested and Kirby Dach would have to be involved in any package going back to Columbus.
