Picture of Patrick Roy. Will he be the next coach of the New York Rangers?
The New York Rangers need a new head coach and NHL trade rumors are making the rounds that Patrick Roy will be their next head coach.

Patrick Roy is the current coach of the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, but could that change soon? Will he be the next coach of the New York Rangers?

A few years ago Patrick Roy let it be publicly known that he would like to return to the NHL as a head coach of a team and the Rangers appear to be a good fit for Roy.

The Blueshirts are not rebuilding, they are playoff contenders and he could be the right coach to get forward and former #1 overall draft pick Alexis Lafreniere going.

Patrick Roy headed to the Rangers?

Kevin Weeks of ESPN put out a cryptic tweet that Patrick Roy could indeed be a serious candidate as the next coach of the New York Rangers.

Many feel Roy could be the right coach to light a fire under the veteran players in New York. GM Chris Drury also knows Roy well from his days playing with Roy in Colorado.

What are NHL Fans saying about Patrick Roy coaching the New York Rangers

Patrick Roy is a really really hard working guy, maybe controversial at times, but I think he’s a bit more mature than he used to be. He would be a great fit in New York.

Roy is still competing for the QMJHL championship and he is pretty comfortable where hes at right now.. i dont see this happening

That would be a terrible hire but must watch TV, I can’t even lie.
