Ottawa Senators interested in making a Seth Jones trade
Elliotte Friedman reports on his 32 Thoughts piece on Sportsnet that the recent contract signing of Artem Zub doesn’t change that the Ottawa Senators are still looking to trade for another right-shot defender.
Friedman went on to say in his piece that the Senators have interest in a Seth Jones trade. Sens management have contacted the Chicago Blackhawks about his availability and if he would waive his no-trade clause for a potential trade. That is as far as conversations have gone so far…
Jones, 28, has a Blackhawks salary cap hit of $9.5 million. He was He was drafted 4th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 1st round of the 2013 NHL entry draft. Currently over a career that spans 10 seasons, he has a total 346 points in 679 games played, and 24 playoffs points in 37 games played.
