Oilers interested in a Vladislav Gavrikov trade
Will the Edmonton Oilers make a trade for Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov. The asking price starts at a 1st round pick.

The Edmonton Oilers are looking to add a defenseman to the lineup. NHL trade rumors had the Oilers interested in a Jakob Chychrun trade but the asking price is too high and now they are looking at other options.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have let teams know Vladislav Gavrikov is available for a trade and the Oilers have interest.

What will it cost the Oilers to make a Vladislav Gavrikov trade?

Elliotte Friedman on his 32 Thoughts piece on Sportsnet reports Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov is on the Edmonton Oilers radar.

Friedman went on to say, the return the Blue Jackets got for David Savard and what the Montreal Canadiens got for Ben Chiarot is the price Columbus wants in a Gavrikov trade.

The Habs received a 1st-round pick in 2023 and a 4th-round pick in 2022 and retained 50% of Chiarot’s salary to complete a trade to the Florida Panthers.

The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired David Savard at 25% of his remaining salary cap hit while sending first and 3rd round picks to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

It is safe to say the Blue Jackets will be seeking a minimum of a 1st round pick for Vladislav Gavrikov.
