Forward Ondrej Palat has signed a three-year contract extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Palat scored 23 goals and led all Lightning players with 59 points while appearing in 81 games this past season. He was also a finalist for the Calder Trophy.
Palat’s contract is worth $10 million, broken down as $2.8 million next season, then $3.2 million the following year and $4 million in the final year of the contract.
Palat, 23, was drafted by Tampa Bay in the seventh round, 208th overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft.
