If the Edmonton Oilers want to make a big move in a trade for Fleury or Chychrun, they will likely have to trade Philip Broberg.

With recent NHL trade rumors circulating that the Edmonton Oilers could pursue Marc-Andre Fleury or Jakob Chychrun they will likely have to trade a top prospect and a player with salary to make a trade happen.

The prospect the Arizona Coyotes or Chicago Blackhawks would want in a trade for Fleury or Chychrun is Philip Broberg.

Allan Mitchell of The Athletic reports Broberg is considered to be ‘NHL-ready‘ and destined to play a feature role in the NHL. Broberg was drafted eighth overall by the Oilers in the 2019 NHL draft.

Broberg, 20, is a smooth-skating two-way defenseman teams want. If the Oilers were to make a trade most NHL Analysts believe it will be closer to the 2022 NHL trade deadline.
