Wiebe believes the Jets would have to pick up part of Stafford’s remaining cap hit ($4.35 million) on his expiring contract.

The Lightning has been shopping center Valtteri Filppula, who has one-year left on his contract after this season. The Lightning and Nashville Predators have reportedly been engaged in trade talks for the last little while and have discussed Filppula and Tyler Johnson.
