Montreal looking to move up in the draft
The Fourth Period: The Montreal Canadiens are looking to move up from the ninth-overall spot in this month’s NHL Draft. the Habs are eyeing forwards Pierre-Luc Dubois and Logan Brown in this year’s Draft, both of whom are expected to be picked higher than ninth.

The Fourth Period: Edmonton Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli will be looking to trade Nail Yakupov before the NHL Entry Draft. The Habs have been linked to Yakupov, primarily because of his friendship and junior hockey ties to center Alex Galchenyuk. The Winnipeg Jets also have an interest in Yakupov.
Scott Hartnell has agreed to waive his no-movement clause
Sportsnet: Elliotte Friedman is reporting Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Scott Hartnell has agreed to waive his no-movement clause. Hartnell is 34 and has three years left on his contract, which could be of concern to potential suitors.
