Will the Pittsburgh Penguins trade Marc-Andre Fleury?

ESPN: Craig Custance suggests the Pittsburgh Penguins trade goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. With Matt Murray taking over as the starter during the playoffs and the Penguins carrying limited salary-cap room, they could consider moving the 31-year-old’s $5.75-million cap hit. Custance believes Fleury could be “a great fit” with the Calgary Flames or Carolina Hurricanes. Both clubs need depth between the pipes and have depth in young talent and prospects to entice the Penguins.

Latest Steven Stamkos trade rumors

The Fan 590: The Steven Stamkos saga will be over in a few weeks and we will finally find out if he re-signs with the Tampa Bay Lightning or signs with another team. Doug Maclean was on Toronto’s Fan 590 and he thinks there is a 50% chance he re-signs with the Lightning. Reports are the Toronto Maple Leafs will try really hard to sign Stamkos on July 1st. The Leafs cannot afford to offer him a max contract, but would be willing to sign him at $9 million/year. The Leafs main pitch will be all the extra money Stamkos would make in advertising. Maclean also mentioned the Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens and New York Islanders will make a pitch for Stamkos.
