Teams calling the Montreal Canadiens about Andrei Markov

The Fourth Period: Montreal Canadiens defenseman and Andrei Markov has drawn some interest from other NHL clubs. Markov, 37, who has one-year left on his contract beyond this season, also owns a limited no-trade clause and can list 13 teams he would accept a move to. The L.A. Kings in search of a top-4 defenceman have been scouting Montreal lately and could be targeting Markov.

The Washington Capitals seeking veteran defenceman

TSN Radio 1050: Darren Dreger was on the morning show and he stated that the Washington Capitals are looking for a solid 3-4 defenceman and could target Calgary Flames dman Kris Russell or Vancouver Canucks defenceman Dan Hamhuis.

Anaheim Ducks interested in Andrew Ladd?

TSN: Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray will try to move one of his two rising prospects( Brandon Montour and Jacob Larsson ) to acquire a rental top-six forward, such as Andrew Ladd or Loui Eriksson. If the Ducks decide to move one of their current defencemen, Sami Vatanen could be the player who could be moved for a non-rental winger.
