Alexander Barabanov signs two-year contract extension with the Sharks that includes a 10 team modified no-trade clause.

With NHL trade rumors floating around that the San Jose Sharks are interested in trading Erik Karlsson, they have locked up free agent to be Alexander Barabanov.

Barabanov, 27, signed a two-year deal worth $5 million. He had 10 goals and 29 assists in 70 games in his second season in the NHL.

Sharks management feels with his grit and hard work, he has the potential to improve upon his success this past year.

Over Barabanov’s career, he has a total 47 points in 92 games played. His contract comes with a modified no-trade clause where he can submit a 10 team no trade list.
