The news just keeps getting worse for the Edmonton Oilers, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been placed on injured reserve. NHL rumors are running rapid through the team that the Oilers need a shakeup and they will look to trade for a goalie and 3rd line center.
It is sounding like Nugent-Hopkins injury could be 3-4 weeks. Tough loss for a team already reeling with covid issues and floundering through a streak of 10 losses in 12 games.
The Oilers will be in tough the next few games with Connor McDavid, Tyson Barrie and Derek Ryan out with COVID-19 , the team is not playing well and they are in jeopardy of falling out of a playoff spot.
