What are Montreal Canadiens fans saying about not trading Jake Allen?

I don’t understand the obsession Kent Hughes has with Jake Allen. Trade him and get some good draft capital.

DeSmith has no trade value. Allen is the goalie we need to trade.

I am more the positive type person and I think it is a great choice for the Habs to keep Allen and mentor Montembeault as he is our #1 goalie of the future.

  1. It is great to treat your players well and tell them what your thinking but in the end a lot still depends on training camp performance and trade offers. I think Hughes will do what is best for the team, while trying to be fair to the players. Someone will be odd man out.

  2. Habs are going no where. Trade Allen in November/December when teams free up salary cap space and get some much needed draft picks or prospects.
