The Habs have three goalies on the roster and they will be looking to move one of them before the NHL season starts in October.
Jake Allen was told by Montreal Canadiens management he would not be traded

NHL trade rumors have the Habs shopping Casey DeSmith for some late-round draft assets and keeping goalies Allen and Samuel Montembeault.

It is great to treat your players well and tell them what your thinking but in the end a lot still depends on training camp performance and trade offers. I think Hughes will do what is best for the team, while trying to be fair to the players. Someone will be odd man out.
Yeah they’re not looking to trade Allen because they don’t want to pay what it would cost for anyone to take him.
Habs are going no where. Trade Allen in November/December when teams free up salary cap space and get some much needed draft picks or prospects.
