A few weeks back before the Vancouver Canucks cleaned house NHL trade rumors were floating around that the Canucks could trade Brock Boeser or J.T. Miller.
With Jim Rutherford now as Team President, he recently stated in his press conference he will be able to make some trades but is not interested right now. He likely needs more time to evaluate the team, hire a GM and see where the Canucks sit in the standings closer to the NHL Trade Deadline.
Rutherford went on to say, “I am not in a hurry to make a trade.” He did mention teams have already contacted him on the availability of certain players.
The Canucks are not looking to trade high draft picks as they have not had a first-round pick in the last two NHL drafts.
It appears Rutherford is more interested in improving the team and keeping pieces like Boeser and Miller unless he looks at a Miller for Kevin Fiala trade offer that was rumored a few weeks back.
trade Rutherford and Allvin, bet the team gets much better, both are poison
