Kris Letang
Kris Letang has signed a 6-year contract extension with the Penguins that includes a no-trade clause.

It has come as no surprise that Kris Letang will end his career as a Pittsburgh Penguin. It has been reported since the regular season ended that Letang would re-sign with the Penguins.

Letang signed a 6-year, $36.6 million contract extension that runs through the 2027/28 campaign, and carries an average annual value of $6.1 million. Letang will be 41 when his contract ends.

Letang has a no-move clause in his contract from years 2022-23 to 2025-26 and a modified no-trade clause in the last two years of his contract.

NHL trade rumors have been active on the Evgeni Malkin front on whether he will take a hometown discount or sign with another team via free agency.
