Justin Abdelkader has agreed to a seven-year contract extension with the Detroit Red Wings.
The deal is worth an average annual value of $4.25 million.
Abdelkader, 28, has four goals and three assists in 15 games with the Red Wings this season. He scored 23 goals and added 21 assists in 71 games with the team last season.
The Muskegon, Michigan native owns 65 career goals and 139 points in 413 career games, all with the Red Wings.
