Picture of John Gibson. Will he be traded to the Buffalo Sabres?
The latest NHL trade rumors have the Buffalo Sabres interested in making a trade for Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson.

The Buffalo Sabres are looking to be playoff contenders this coming season and if they want to make the next step, they will need a legit number one goaltender.

Devon Levi is not ready to be a starting goalie for the Sabres as he is in need of a mentor which is leading to NHL trade rumors that Buffalo could make a move on a goalie.

Buffalo Sabres interested in a John Gibson trade?

NHL rumors have the Buffalo Sabres targeting Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson. NHL trade chatter earlier this offseason had Gibson requesting a trade from the Anaheim Ducks.

Gibson would give the Sabres a legit starting goalie who can play 50-60 games a year and help the team on their quest to make the playoffs this coming season.

What would it cost for the Sabres to land John Gibson and make his salary cap hit work? Anaheim is likely asking for goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin, 1st Round Pick in 2024 and a 2nd Round Pick 2025.

What are NHL Fans saying about a potential John Gibson trade to Buffalo?

Please make this trade. John Gibson is the final piece we need. I am tired of missing the playoffs year after year. It is now the Sabres time to dominate the Atlantic Division.

Stay away from Gibson. Save our 2024 first round draft pick. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will be our #1 goalie.

All I hear on Buffalo sports talk is that we don’t need Gibson. Our young goalies will lead us. Not going to happen. If Gibson is indeed available, make the trade!
