Picture of John Gibson. Has he requested a trade out of Anaheim? Are the Leafs or Sabres interested?
NHL trade rumors have Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson requesting a trade out of Anaheim. Are the Leafs or Sabres interested?

Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson has been in the NHL trade rumors mill for the past few seasons but nothing has come of the rumors that he will be traded out of Anaheim.

This past week the NHL rumors have ramped up on John Gibson and this could be the offseason he is traded out of Anaheim.

Will the Anaheim Ducks trade John Gibson?

Frank Seravalli was on the Nasty Knuckles Podcast and stated that John Gibson has no desire to play another game for the Anaheim Ducks and wants to be traded this offseason.

Elliotte Friedman was on his 32 Thoughts Podcast and reported that Gibson never stated he would not play another game for the Ducks.

KO Sports that represents John Gibson, released a press release stating that their client John Gibson never told Frank Seravalli he would play another game for the Ducks.

Who knows who said what, but Gibson has been in the trade rumors mill for two years and if a player’s name has been mentioned that many times in rumors, there has to be something to it.

There is no word on what teams are interested in a John Gibson trade but this will be interesting to watch as the offseason moves along.

What are NHL fans saying about a potential John Gibson trade?

Don’t blame Gibson for wanting a trade out of Anaheim. He is wasting his prime years there on a non playoff contending team.

Buffalo Sabres fan here: Please trade for John Gibson. He is the goalie we need. I am ALL IN if he is indeed available.

If I am Brad Treliving. The Leafs have to make an offer for Gibson. This is what I would offer – Willian Nylander + Matt Murray (cap/contract purposes), in exchange for John Gibson + 2nd/3rd round pick + MidTier prospect.
