picture of Vladimir Tarasenko. The Ottawa Senators have interest in signing the forward.
The Ottawa Senators are looking to add some offense and have interest in signing free agent forward Vladimir Tarasenko.

Vladimir Tarasenko was a hot commodity at the 2023 NHL trade deadline but the first round exit of the New York Rangers against the New Jersey Devils and Tarasenko not playing too well have hurt his free agent payday.

There are a handful of teams interested in the talented forward with the Ottawa Senators showing the most interest.

Vladimir Tarasenko headed to the Ottawa Senators?

Elliotte Friedman posted on Twitter that Ottawa Senators management have had discussions with Vladimir Tarasenko. His signing will all depend on if the Senators can trade Alex DeBrincat.

With the Toronto Maple Leafs scooping up Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi, the Sens focus is on Tarasenko. A two to three year deal would be the perfect term for the Senators to sign Tarasenko with him likely playing with Tim Stutzel or Josh Norris.

What are Ottawa Senators fans saying about a potential Vladimir Tarasenko contract?

Tarasenko will want a 4-5 year term. I don’t see him sign with the Sens on a 2-3 year deal.

Please stay away from Tarasenko. He is past his prime and slow. We do not need him. I am still hoping we re-sign Alex DeBrincat.

Tarasenko is a floating offensive forward. We do not need him on this team. He is soft as a cotton ball. It is a hard pass for me.
