The San Jose Sharks have signed forward Joel Ward to a three-year, $9.825 million contract.
The deal carries an average annual value of $3.275 million.
Ward had 19 goals and 15 assists last season with the Washington Capitals. He also had three goals and six assists in 14 playoff games.
