The Buffalo Sabres have made newly acquired forward Ryan O’Reilly their highest-paid player by signing him to a $52.5 million, seven-year contract extension.
TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reports O’Reilly will make $1 million in salary every year with the rest spread out in signing bonuses paid each July 1. The signing bonus breakdown is $10 million the first year, $8 million the second, and then $7.5 million, $5 million, $5 million, $5 million, $5 million.
