The Jakob Chychrun trade rumors will just not die. The latest team to be on the Chychrun train is the Buffalo Sabres.
There are as many as six teams interested in making a Jakob Chychrun trade that include the LA Kings, Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Why are the Buffalo Sabres interested in Jakob Chychrun?
Jeff Marek was on his Sportsnet radio show and was discussing possible destinations for Jakob Chychrun and he believes the Buffalo Sabres are a prefect fit.
Marek feels the Sabres need a defenseman to take the pressure off Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power. He also provided an interesting tidbit that Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula’s son played with Jakob Chychrun and know Jakob from his minor hockey playing days.
A Chychrun trade is expected to include a pair of first-round draft choices, either prospects chosen in recent years or future selections, plus “something else.”

Center Noah Ostlund, who the Sabres chose 16th overall in the 2022 NHL entry draft. Winger Jiri Kulich, selected at No. 28 overall at the 2022 NHL draft or 2019 first-round pick Isak Rosen.
