The Dallas Stars have signed Roope Hintz to an eight-year contract extension through the 2030-31 season.
Hintz’s new eight-year contract is worth $67.6 million with an AVV of $8.45 million. The Stars are looking to secure their future with Jason Robertson and Jake Oettinger already locked up on short-term deals.
Hintz, 26, has 26 points (8g, 16a) and a +13 rating in 23 games played so far this season.
Hintz who hales from Tampere, Finland was drafted 49th overall by the Dallas Stars in the 2nd round of the 2015 NHL entry draft.
