Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets interested in Patrik Laine

NHL trade rumors yesterday had the Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets doing a swap for Patrik Laine and Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Pierre LeBrun is reporting that if Patrik Laine would go to arbitration after this season in which he had a good goal scoring year he could get $9 million. LeBrun feels the Jets will either sign Laine during the season or trade him.

LeBrun reports that Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes and the Columbus Blue Jackets have interest in Patrik Laine and have called Kevin Cheveldayoff about what it would take. It is believed none of the teams are offering what the Jets want.

If the Jets fall out of the playoff race before the NHL trade deadline, Laine will likely be traded, if they are in a playoff race, expect him to be traded in the off-season.
