The Calgary Flames have made a pitch for Ottawa Senators forward Jason Spezza.
Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun is reporting the Flames are offering Jiri Hudler, Mikael Backlund, maybe Dennis Wideman and one of their several second and third round draft picks.
Calgary is on the list of one of the teams he does NOT want to be traded to.
It is still looking like the Anaheim Ducks and St. Louis Blues are the frontrunners to land Spezza.
