With the trade market heating up the past week and leading up to next weekend’s NHL Draft, it appears the Buffalo Sabres could be a busy team with NHL trade rumors having Jack Eichel, Sam Reinhart and Rasmus Risotlainen all available for trade.

TSN’s Darren Dreger was on Buffalo’s WGR 550 sports radio and he was reporting that the trade market for Ristolainen has heated up.

Dreger went on to say, “There’s teams digging in on him,” he explained. “The [Sabres’] ask is a good young defenseman and a high draft pick coming back.”

Dreger feels Ristolainen could be traded before Eichel and Reinhart. The Sabres will likely have to lower the asking price for Ristolainen if any trade is to happen.

Ristolainen has spent his entire eight-year career with the Sabres since being drafted eighth overall in the 2013 NHL Draft. The 26-year-old has tallied 245 points (46+199) so far in 542 career games.
