Anthony Mantha has not worked out in Washington since he was traded from the Detroit Red Wings in the 2020-21 NHL season.
A change of scenery might do the power forward well where he can utilize his size, skill, and ability to score goals.
Will Anthony Mantha be traded this offseason?
Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports with Anthony Mantha being a healthy scratch for a good chunk of games this season and not having capitalized on the chances he has been given in the Washington Capitals lineup. A trade would be best for Mantha in the offseason.
Mantha has one more year under contract with a Capitals salary cap hit of $5.7 million.
Mantha was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the first round, 20th overall, of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
