Anthony Mantha for Brock Boeser trade?

Elliotte Friedman was on his 32 Thoughts podcast and speculates a Brock Boeser for Anthony Mantha trade could work with the Washington Capitals having interest in a Boeser trade.

Friedman went on to say in his piece Mantha has one more year with a $5.7 million Capitals salary cap hit, so the Vancouver Canucks get a slight cap break and also Mantha’s contract comes off the books a year sooner than Boeser’s.

Since Anthony Mantha has arrived in Washington, he has not meshed in well with the Capitals. He has been a bit of a disappointment.

Caps will never do that. Mantha is so much better than Boeser.

I like Mantha, but he hasn’t been a fit here in Washington. I think Bo Horvat would be a better fit in Washington. He is good at face offs too. Caps desperately need that.
