NHL trade rumors have been active with the Chicago Blackhawks. The team is going through a full re-build and they are looking to stockpile draft picks by trading assets.
Alex DeBrincat’s name was brought up at the NHL trade deadline but a deal could not be made.
Frank Seravalli of The Daily Faceoff reports DeBrincat will be traded by the Blackhawks. He is just not sure if it will be this summer or at the 2023 NHL trade deadline?

- By the time Chicago gets to where it wants, he will be middle-aged by NHL standards
- He is due a $9 million qualifying offer next summer
DeBrincat, 24, had 78 points in 82 games played last season. He is under contract for next season with a Blackhawks salary cap hit of $6.4 million.
