NHL free agency starts on July 13, 2022 this year and the big question everyone is wondering about is, will Evander Kane re-sign with the Edmonton Oilers or cash in with another team?
Darren Dreger was on TSN’s Insider Trading and reports the Edmonton Oilers would like to re-sign Kane this summer to a contract extension.
Dreger went on to say, Kane will be looking for a three year or longer deal and that might be too long on a contract extension the Oilers are comfortable with. They would like to re-sign Kane to a two-year deal.
Kane, 30, has 22 goals and 39 points in 42 games this season and has been an excellent complement on the left side playing with Connor McDavid.
