The Columbus Blue Jackets made no big trades this NHL trade deadline which was expected but what trades or signings could they make this coming offseason?
Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports the Blue Jackets were hoping to trade two other pending UFA’s at the trade deadline along with the Max Domi trade, but the market was light for defenseman Dean Kukan and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo.
Portzline went on to say the first big move GM Jarmo Kekalainen will make in the offseason is to re-sign Patrik Laine. He has no intention of making a Laine trade.
Kekalainen has also mentioned the move the Blue Jackets are looking to make will be an offseason trade for an impact player. Who that impact player could be, not sure, that is something we will find out in the summer so check back often for the latest Blue Jackets rumors.
