
If the NHL ever decides to look at expansion again to create more revenue for the league, below is what a 36 team hypothetical league would look like.
Based off a post from Reddit by Metalhead831, the four new teams would be the Houston Aeros, Atlanta Thrashers, Hartford Whalers and Quebec Nordiques.
There would be two conferences with three divisions in each conference.
12 teams in each conference would make the playoffs, with the top 4 teams in each division making it.
