He has been in the NHL trade rumors mill all summer long and with no trade to be found. The asking price has been very hight which is why he has not been traded yet.

What are the Arizona Coyotes seeking in a Jakob Chychrun trade?

Darren Dreger was on TSN’s Insider Trading segment and reports the Arizona Coyotes have let interested teams know the asking price for Jakob Chychrun has softened.

Dreger went on to say the expected return for a Chychrun trade is the Yotes are willing to take on a contract or multiple contracts, along with a first round draft pick and a top prospect.

The asking price is still very high, but with three year remaining on Chychrun’s contract at a Coyotes salary cap hit of $4.6 million, he has a bargain of a deal considering the assets he brings when he plays, from his physical presence to his ability to put up points.

What teams are interested in Jakob Chychrun?

Dreger stated there a multiple teams interested in a Jakob Chychrun trade. The issue right now is not many teams have the salary cap room to accommodate his cap hit.

Dreger listed the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, LA Kings, St. Louis Blues and the Columbus Blue Jackets all interested in Chychrun.
