The Toronto Maple Leafs have been a great regular season team for the past number of years, their big problem has been their big stars not showing up in the playoffs.
The team has lacked grit and depended on skill to win games which does not work in playoff hockey. This could finally be the season where Leafs management mixes skill players with tough, physical grinders.
Will the Leafs sign free agent forward Ryan Reaves?
Darren Dreger was on TSN’s Insider Trading and stated that enforcer Ryan Reaves has interest in playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Dreger believes the Leafs can sign him for the minimum salary and he would make just as much through endorsements in Toronto because of his fun personality and he would be an instant fan favorite.
What are Leafs fans saying about a potential Ryan Reaves signing?
I hope not! Reaves is an over-the-hill tough guy that can’t skate. He provides nothing to the Leafs lineup!
Please, please, please sign him. We need an enforcer to protect the core four.
If the Leafs sign Reaves to a contract it will be a bad move. Target someone like Tom Wilson.
