Picture of Tomas Tatar. Will he sign with the New York Islanders or Buffalo Sabres?
The latest NHL trade rumors for the New York Islanders feature the team interested in signing free-agent forward Tomas Tatar.

NHL trade rumors have frequently involved the New York Islanders this offseason, as it’s rumored that GM Lou Lamoriello is searching for some offensive help.

The Islanders missed out on signing Vladimir Tarsenko, but are now interested in Tomas Tatar after being linked to William Nylander.

Will the New York Islanders sign free-agent forward Tomas Tatar?

Stefan Rosner of The Hockey News believes the New York Islanders have an interest in signing Tomas Tatar to a contract.

Tatar would like to re-sign with the New Jersey Devils but they do not have room on the roster to fit him in.

Rosner believes that the Islanders can solve their salary cap problems and offensive forward search by waiving Ross Johnston and Karson Kuhlman to sign Tatar.

NHL trade rumors also have the Buffalo Sabres interested in signing Tatar with forward Jack Quinn out long-term.

What are New York Islanders fans saying about a potential Tomas Tatar signing?

Tatar is the perfect fit for the Buffalo Sabres. I am not sure why they have not signed him yet?

I think the problem the NY Islanders have with signing Tatar is he wants a long-term deal and Lou only wants to sign him for one-year.

I personally hope the Islanders do not sign him. He has been up and down his entire career. Save the money.
