Will Garth Snow still have a job with the New York Islanders?

It appears New York Islanders GM Garth Snow and Head Coach Doug Weight were not made aware of the hiring of Lou Lamoriello reports Larry Brooks of The New York Post.

Weight and Snow were on a scouting trip in Denmark for the IIHF World Championship and did not receive word of the talks between owners Jon Ledecky and Scott Malkin and the 75-year-old Lamoriello, whose hiring as the team’s president of hockey operations was confirmed last week.

Snow was also in the dark about a meeting between Lamoriello and the club’s pending free-agent captain John Tavares on behalf of the Isles when Lamoriello was still with the Toronto Maple Leafs in an advisory role.

The big question now is, will Snow and Weight still have a job? The likely answer is no, if the owner went behind their back and was not made aware of the team hiring Lamoriello. Lou will likely want to have his own GM and Coach, plus, would Snow and Weight want to stay with the team?
