NHL trade rumors for April 15, 2022 feature the St. Louis Blues loosing goalie Ville Husso to free agency.

Ville Husso took over the #1 starter role in the St. Louis Blues net at Christmas time and it looking like he will be the Blues ride or die goalie for a potentially deep playoff run this year.

Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic states he is betting on Husso leaving via free agency. Sources have told LeBrun there haven’t been any contract talks of note between the Blues and Husso.

NHL rumors were floating around at the NHL trade deadline that the Edmonton Oilers had a serious interest in making a Husso trade. Will they revisit this trade option in the summer?

LeBrun went on to say, St. Louis has not given up on Jordan Binnington, who is signed for another five years after this season at a $6-million AAV.

Husso, 27, was drafted 94th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 4th round of the 2014 NHL entry draft. Currently over a career that spans 2 seasons, he has a total of 53 games played.
