The Preds have signed pending UFA goaltender Carter Hutton to a two-year contract worth $1.45 million.
Hutton, 28, will make $700,000 for the upcoming season and $750,000 in 2015-16.
Hutton was Nashville’s starter for a good chunk of the 2013-14 NHL season due to starter Pekka Rinne’s hip issues, Hutton posted a 20-11-4 record, 2.62 goals-against average and one shutout in his first full season.
