A trade for Gostisbehere will strictly be a rental, but he will fill a need for a team seeking a defenseman with the ability to move the puck out of the defensive zone and power play help.

Nathan Murdock of Sportsnet states Gostisbehere has had over 80 points in the last two seasons and on the offensive side provides so much on the power play.
Murdock went on to say in his YouTube hit that Erik Karlsson is still the Edmonton Oilers number 1 choice at the NHL trade deadline, but if they can’t make the trade work, they will target a Shayne Gostisbehere trade.
The cost to land Gostisbehere would be minimal, likely a second and fourth round draft pick.
