LA Kings NHL Trade Rumors November 5, 2018
Will the LA kings make a trade for William Nylander?

Latest LA Kings trade rumors

The Hockey News: Up and down the roster, the Kings have struggled. Other than off-season signing Ilya Kovalchuk and all-star defenseman Drew Doughty, who have 11 and 10 points, respectively, no Kings player has a double-digit point total. Last season’s resurgent performance by Anze Kopitar has been followed by a four-goal, six-point start through 12 games. One of last season’s more notable acquisitions, Dion Phaneuf, has struggled to justify his high salary and is fifth in average ice time among Kings defensemen. Tanner Pearson has only a single point, an assist, through 13 games. Sophomore Adrian Kempe has only managed two points.

The LA Kings could very well shake up the roster before mid-season or the trade deadline rolls around. The expectation in Los Angeles is clear: this is a team, particularly with its window closing and high-priced veteran players, that expects to take a few more big swings at bringing home the Stanley Cup for a third time in the modern era.

Trade rumors do have the Kings interested in Toronto Maple Leafs William Nylander.

Carolina Hurricanes all in on pursuing William Nylander

Sportsnet: “When the time does come — if the time does come that Toronto decides they are going to deal [William Nylander] — Carolina has made it very clear that they are all in,” said Elliotte Friedman on the Headlines segment of Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday.

If things do end up going to trade talks the two teams compliment each other, as the Toronto Maple Leafs have ample depth at forward, while the Hurricanes sport a deep blue line.

The most talked about trade is William Nylander and Ron Hainsey going to the Carolina Hurricanes for D Brett Pesce, RW Julien Gauthier, and a 2019 First Round Pick.
