Latest Toronto Maple Leafs trade rumors

Sportsnet: Luke Fox reports the Toronto Maple Leafs are carrying a glut of forwards, especially wingers. That could make it difficult for promising young players, such as Kasperi Kapanen, Josh Leivo and Nikita Soshnikov to crack the roster. Fox proposes packaging a forward or two with a draft pick to bolster their blueline with James van Riemsdyk as the main trade chip. The Anaheim Ducks, Minnesota Wild, Caroilna Hurricanes and Vancouver Canucks as potential trade destinations for van Riemsdyk, noting those four clubs have depth in blueliners.

Are NHL offer sheets coming…?

630 CHED: Elliotte Friedman was on the radio talking about free agency and that one GM thinks offer sheets are coming. “I will tell you, I have a pretty interesting conversation with one GM after it’s over. I specifically asked him about Leon Draisaitl. He said he didn’t think so. But he thinks the offer sheets are coming. Maybe not this year, but maybe in a year or two. Could this mean teams will target the Leafs Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner?
